Send Official Transcripts to Admissions

Please send the following 官方 transcripts* to the Admissions office:

  1. Official high school transcripts* showing graduation 和/or GED or HiSET scores. You must be a high school graduate or equivalent to enroll in a program/major. View our High School Diploma Verification Process.

  2. If you have taken college-level classes 和 would like to receive possible credit, you will need to have your previous college(s) send an 官方 college transcript*.

  3. 军事 transcripts. 看到 military branch transcript request websites.

* Transcripts (high school, college, 和 GED/HiSET scores) are considered 官方 only when sent from institute to institute or from an approved, secure third-party agency. (i.e National 学生 Clearinghouse, Parchment). Transcripts h和 delivered, even if in a sealed envelope, will be considered un官方.

Official high school 和 college transcripts received since 2008 should already be on file with the college. Contact Admissions if you have questions about previously 提交ted transcripts 和 assessment scores.

All students must demonstrate they are ready for college prior to admittance.

Acceptable options include:

  • High school GPA
  • GED/HiSet scores
  • ACCUPLACER assessment scores

Program Specific Admission Requirements

的 following programs have specific course placement assessment scores, prerequisite coursework, 和/or additional admissions requirements that you will need to complete for acceptance into the program.

Course Placement Assessment

Hawkeye requires all students to take a course placement assessment before registering for any math or literacy course. Your assessment scores will be used to place you in coursework at Hawkeye.

Hawkeye accepts the following assessments for course placement.

  • ALEKS 在线 Math Readiness Assessment
  • ACCUPLACER (Next Generation 和 Classic)
  • 指南针
  • 行为

Apply for Financial Aid

Hawkeye offers eligible students federal 和 state financial aid, including grants, scholarships, 贷款, 和 Work-Study, based on the Free Application for Federal 学生 Aid (FAFSA).

的 application deadline for State of Iowa funds is July 1.

Scholarships are available to help you pay for educational expenses 和, unlike student 贷款, do not need to be repaid.

Hawkeye awards more than $3 million in scholarships every year. Complete the Hawkeye Scholarship Application by February 1 for fall semester awards 和 October 1 for spring semester awards.

Last-Dollar Scholarship can cover up to 100% of tuition 和 fees for 20+ high-dem和 career programs. To apply, 提交 your FAFSA 和 enroll in a qualifying program.

Transferring College Credits to Hawkeye

If you've taken college-level classes in high school or attended another college, university, or trade school 和 would like to receive possible credit, please send your 官方 college transcripts.

Hawkeye works with two local apartment complexes located across the street from Main Campus to offer students affordable housing options within walking distance of their classes. Hawkeye students also have the option of living in the University of Northern Iowa residence halls.
